CHORA: Espacios Indeterminados
(Undetermined Spaces)

What is CHORA?

CHORA is an interdisciplinary group that exists to investigate, produce and organize multimedia projects with a choreographic focus.

The theme of this project is the relation between the mental and physical spaces. The idea is to leave undetermined spaces in structures as a motive of possibilities of creation and interaction. Because of this this, CHORA becomes a nomad group that looks for different working spaces for each project. In the case of the audience the proposal is to leave enough space so that when they fill it they become the main interpreters.

The parameters of the inter relationship are, that every physical and mental idea that every interpreter participates with, can't be finished or pre-conceived but rather re-created in every given moment. This is a direct consequence of that fact that every action changes the space. Our interest is in the awareness that the space is constantly transforming itself, by every element that composes it. This suggests a responsibility of the people that move in it.

Why CHORA?

With the objective of enriching the individual work of each integrant, this multi- and interdisciplinary group gathers to reflect on their own work to then co-inspire, re-animate and communicate.

The need to approximate a project emerges, taking as a starting point, generating relations of inter-connection from different prospectives and constructing a space of possibilities in a refreshing and provocotive way for the participants. The intergration of this group is based on coming from different places of art. The unknown spaces are the motivation of understanding, moving and reacting to the adding of a space that belongs to everyone.

This project demands an immigration from secure spaces and to propose from someone else's place through co-existing everyday.
